FLAGSHIP - START HERE

Your buyers are already researching you in AI. Do you know what they find?

The AI Visibility & Authority Assessment™ measures how AI systems currently recognize, interpret, and represent your company and identifies what’s limiting your chances of being found, trusted, and recommended before buyers ever contact Sales.

Most B2B companies have no reliable picture of how AI systems describe them when buyers search by category, problem, or shortlist – not by brand name. The Assessment gives you that picture: a data-based baseline, a clear view of the gaps that matter most, and a concrete direction for what to address first.

The assessment covers five major AI systems: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Search, across 24 buyer-intent prompt scenarios grouped into four categories: Brand, Category, Problem and Shortlist. Each scenario is tested three times, resulting in 360 AI responses for analysis.

We also assess three groups of Authority Signals: Company, Human and Third-Party, together with the Competitive View. Depending on the number of experts included, the assessment covers approximately 30-150 individual authority signals, giving a comprehensive view of how the organisation is interpreted, represented and validated across the buying journey.

The result is a clear view of where the organisation stands today, what is limiting its visibility and authority, and which actions should be prioritised first. The engagement concludes with a one-hour Executive Findings Session to interpret the findings and decide on the next step.

What the Assessment is and what it is not.

What it is:

  • A structured test of how five AI systems answer the questions your buyers actually ask
  • Evidence from 360 recorded AI responses, not a one-off spot check
  • A map of the authority signals AI systems can - and cannot - find about you
  • A side-by-side view of how competitors are described in the same answers
  • A one-hour Executive Findings Session with the people who own the decisions

What it is not:

  • A website scan or technical SEO crawl
  • An automated GEO audit generated by a tool
  • A guaranteed ranking or “get mentioned by ChatGPT” report
  • A content production retainer

We assess hundreds of signals across the organisation’s full Authority ecosystem, not only what the company publishes, but also who represents its expertise and how that expertise is validated externally.
It is a strategic diagnostic designed to show where the organisation stands today and where investment will have the greatest impact.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Being visible when someone searches your brand name is not enough.

Most companies look fine in AI when you search them by name. The problem appears when buyers search by category, problem, or need without naming any vendor.

That is how most B2B research actually starts. A buyer opens ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI and asks:

“Which companies specialize in [category]?” or “Who can help us with [problem]?”

If your company doesn’t appear in those answers or appears with the wrong description, missing expertise, or no supporting evidence, you’re not on the shortlist before Sales even knows the opportunity exists.

The research is clear:

94%

of B2B buyers now use AI during the buying journey.

95%

of purchases come from vendors already on the Day-1 shortlist.

80%

of deals are won by the vendor buyers preferred before first contact.

The window to influence that preference is earlier than most companies think  and mostly invisible to Sales.

The Assessment tells you where you stand in that window.

WHAT WE TEST

We test the questions buyers actually ask.

The base Assessment runs approximately 20 prompts across four buyer-intent groups and tests each prompt repeatedly across four major AI systems. The goal is to understand where your company appears, where it’s absent, how it’s described, which competitors are recommended instead  and what evidence the AI uses to support its answers.

Prompt group What it reveals Example question
Brand  Can AI recognize and accurately describe the company?  What does [Company] do?
Category  Is the company associated with the category when the brand is not named?  Which companies specialize in [Category]?
Problem  Is the company connected to a buyer problem or desired outcome?  Who can help us solve [Problem]?
Shortlist  Is the company recommended for active consideration?  Which vendors should we shortlist for [Need]?

Why four groups matter:

Brand visibility is the easiest to achieve and the least valuable, buyers who already know your name will find you regardless. Category, Problem, and Shortlist visibility is where early preference is actually formed. Most companies have no reliable picture of how they perform across these three groups.

WHAT WE MEASURE

A full picture of how your company is understood is more than a website audit.

Most AI visibility checks stop at the website – does the content exist, is it structured correctly, can AI retrieve it? The Assessment evaluates everything buyers and AI systems use to interpret your company: what you publish, who represents your expertise, and what independent sources say about you.

These three areas form the Authority Signals Model™ – the framework HiFuture uses to assess and build organisational authority.

Strategy & AI Readiness

The overarching layer. Before measuring individual signals, we assess whether the strategic foundation is in place: is the category clear, is the positioning consistent, is there a defined topic architecture, does the company know which experts own which areas, and how visible is the company in AI-generated answers today.
This layer explains why specific signals are weak - not just that they are.

Competitive View

How the organisation performs relative to the competitors that appear in the same buyer journeys and AI-generated answers. We assess which competitors are surfaced, how they are positioned, which authority signals appear to support them, where they outperform the organisation, and where there are opportunities to differentiate.
This layer helps distinguish an absolute visibility gap from a relative competitive disadvantage.

Company Authority Signals

What the organisation owns and publishes: website structure, pillar pages, FAQs, case studies, methodologies, research, pricing and ROI content, and other decision-relevant material.
This is the most controllable area and often the one with the most structural gaps that AI systems cannot work around regardless of how strong the other signals are.

Human Authority Signals

Attributable expertise from executives, subject-matter experts, and sales professionals - across LinkedIn, expert pages, articles, webinars, speaking engagements, and external contributions.
Buyers trust people more than brands. AI systems cite people more than companies. This area measures whether the right people are visible, attributable, and consistently associated with the right topics.

Third-Party Authority Signals

Independent validation from customers, media, partners, analyst mentions, citations, rankings, communities, and open sources.
Role-relevant evidence connected to one shared business case: economic value, risk, technical fit, implementation feasibility, customer proof, and decision-ready content

How signals are scored?

Not every gap has the same impact. Each assessed signal is weighted by business importance – Critical, Important, or Supporting – and scored for current maturity on a 0-10 scale. The results roll up into separate scores for each area and a single Overall Authority Score™.

This means the Assessment distinguishes between a minor weakness and a high-impact gap that is actively limiting your shortlist potential, so the implementation direction that follows is based on priority, not just completeness.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

A clear picture of where you stand and what to do next.

The Assessment concludes with a written report and a one-hour strategic consultation. Together they give Marketing and leadership a data-based answer to the question that matters most before committing resources: where are the gaps that are actually limiting our chances of being found, trusted, and chosen and what should we address first.

Overall Authority Score™

A single number that reflects the current maturity of your company’s connected authority signals – across Strategy & AI Readiness, Company, Human, and Third-Party Authority Signals. It gives leadership a comparable baseline and a reference point for measuring progress after implementation.

Layer scores

Separate results for each of the four assessed areas. This is where the overall score becomes actionable - showing which area is strongest, which has the most critical gaps, and where the highest-impact improvements are available.

Priority Authority Gaps

The gaps identified as having the greatest impact on AI interpretation, buyer trust, category association, and shortlist potential - weighted by business importance, not just frequency. This section answers the question: if we could only fix three things, what would move the needle most.

Implementation direction

A prioritized view of what should be decided and built next – organized by impact and feasibility. This is not a full Strategy, but it gives the team a clear starting point for the planning conversation that follows.

AI Visibility Test findings

A full view of how your company appears across brand, category, problem, and shortlist prompts – in four major AI systems, tested repeatedly. Includes competitor observations: which companies are recommended instead, how they are described, and what evidence supports their answers.

This is often the most revealing part of the report for leadership – seeing exactly what a buyer finds when they ask AI about your category without naming your brand.

Executive Findings Session

A one-hour session with Marketing and leadership to walk through the findings, answer questions, interpret what the numbers mean in your specific context, and decide whether to proceed to the AI Visibility & Authority Strategy™.

This is not a presentation of slides. It is a working conversation – and the most valuable hour of the entire Assessment engagement.

HOW IT WORKS

Evidence first. Strategic discussion second.

The Assessment is a defined engagement with a clear sequence. Most of the work happens on HiFuture’s side. Client involvement is focused and bounded a scoping conversation at the start and a strategic consultation at the end.

Scoping conversation

We agree on the priority category, target market, language, and assessment scope. This is typically a 45-minute conversation. It ensures the prompt testing is grounded in how your actual buyers search, not generic industry language.

What we need from you: the category or offer area you want assessed, the market and language, and the names of up to five experts to include.

AI visibility testing

HiFuture runs 24 buyer-intent prompt scenarios across four categories: Brand, Category, Problem and Shortlist, across five major AI systems: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Search. Each scenario is tested three times, resulting in 360 AI responses for analysis.

We document where the organisation appears, how it is interpreted, which competitors are surfaced, and what sources or evidence support the answers.

This step requires nothing from your team.

Authority Signals analysis

We assess Strategy & AI Readiness, Competitive View and all three Authority Signal groups – Company, Human, and Third-Party, against the baseline the prompt testing established. Each signal is weighted by business importance and scored for current maturity.

This step requires nothing from your team.

Report preparation

We compile the findings into the Assessment report: Overall Authority Score™, layer scores, AI Visibility Test findings, Priority Authority Gaps, and Implementation direction. The report is prepared before the final consultation so the conversation can focus on interpretation and decisions, not on presenting slides.

This step requires nothing from your team.

Executive Findings Session

A one-hour session with Marketing and leadership to walk through the findings, answer questions, and decide on the next step. This is a working conversation, not a presentation. The output is a shared understanding of where the gaps are, which ones matter most, and whether proceeding to the AI Visibility & Authority Strategy™ makes sense.

Who should attend: Marketing leader and an executive sponsor. Others welcome depending on context.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions buyers often ask before starting the Assessment

A standard SEO or content audit focuses on whether your website content is structured, indexed, and retrievable. This Assessment is broader. It evaluates category clarity, AI prompt visibility, company knowledge architecture, expert attribution, independent external validation, and whether those sources consistently reinforce the same interpretation of your company. SEO and content audits optimize individual pages. The Assessment evaluates the wider system those pages are part of.

The base Assessment tests four major AI systems and repeats the prompts to reduce reliance on a single response. The exact systems may be updated as the market changes, while the methodology and scope remain documented.

One priority category, one country and language, approximately 20 prompts across four intent groups, all three Authority Signal groups, up to five experts, and a final strategic consultation.

Yes. Additional categories, countries, languages, or expert groups can be added as defined scope extensions.

No. AI Visibility & Authority Strategy™ is available only after the Assessment because the strategic decisions must be grounded in the company-specific baseline and priority gaps.

No. The Assessment is a standalone diagnostic. The client decides whether to proceed. If it does, Strategy is the required next step before Program implementation.

No. AI outputs vary by system, prompt, timing, available sources, and model behavior. The Assessment measures the current state, identifies the most important gaps, and provides evidence-based direction for improving the conditions that support accurate interpretation and recommendation.

The Marketing leader should attend, and participation from an executive sponsor is strongly recommended. Depending on the company, the discussion may also benefit from a business leader, website or content owner, Sales representative, or expert-program owner.

The Assessment is a defined scope engagement. Pricing depends on the number of categories, markets, and languages included. The free consultation is the right place to discuss scope and investment – we’ll give you a clear answer based on what you actually need, not a generic price list.
